About us

our community garden

The garden was created as an innovative approach to ministry by establishing a social network, cultivating a real sense of community and to continue the tradition that has taken place for generations by growing organic, pesticide-free produce, as well as raising livestock and/or bees, with the intent to develop a local and sustainable food system, as well as the possibility to develop and diversify the local economy. It has created an atmosphere where the people of Entry Island, as well as the many who visit, are brought into an environment of holistic living wherein physical, mental and spiritual health are addressed. It is a place for community fellowship, to share, laugh, pray and care for Gods creations.

Visitors to the island will be provided with a map that includes all the different fields and displays to which they can hike to, creating a self-guided tour (available also online), and any money that they spend will thus remain on the island. Effectively, this would turn the entire island into a Living Museum, rooted in Christian faith.
